Overview of the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Operator to join the FAG team on the PM shift. This role involves operating machinery to build and test finished goods within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be required to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), meet standard build times, and maintain high quality standards at all times.
This is a long-term opportunity with progression and development available for committed team members.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:
- Run machines and test finished goods in line with SOPs and standard build times
- Carry out visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
- Operate test equipment and accurately interpret pass/fail criteria
- Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety protocols
- Participate in daily shift briefings and end-of-shift handovers
- Work collaboratively within a team of approximately 10 colleagues under a structured shift management system
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience operating machinery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions in English
- Good communication skills with the ability to retain and apply information
- Physically capable of standing, bending, and undertaking light lifting
- Comfortable working in a mixed seated and standing environment
- Team-oriented with a positive and reliable approach
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with APC or manual insertion processes
- Experience using test equipment in a production setting
- Background in similar industries or local production facilities
Additional Information:
This is a long-term position. Candidates must be able to commit beyond short-term or seasonal work. Students seeking temporary summer employment will not be considered.
