Manpower are currently seeking an interim Assistant Brand Manager to work with our global FMCG client, Elida Beauty, renowned for brands such as TIGI, VO5, Toni & Guy, and Brylcreem, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Holborn, London. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £45,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

We are looking for an eager-to-learn Assistant Brand Manager to support the Impulse brand in Europe and rest of world. The job will require working with multiple partners, including agencies, along with functions across the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring that Impulse maintains a clear and compelling brand proposition, helping to craft the next 3-5 year strategy of the brand.
  • Help embed the brand purpose and personality into all activity by supporting brand guardianship across teams and touchpoints.
  • Work closely with media and digital partners to help define and refine Impulse's target audience.
  • Support the development of the media and channel strategy, and help bring campaign assets to life across platforms.
  • Collaborate with the insight and analytics teams to track trends, gather performance learnings, and contribute to consumer and market understanding.
  • Monitor competitor activity and share actionable insights with the team.
  • Lead in the delivery of innovation projects, including helping to manage cross-functional teams, manage timelines, pull together gate-documents to share in monthly innovation boards, artwork, sample delivery, and product information.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution from ideation to launch.
  • Support the development and execution of creative campaigns across media, digital, social, and in-store.
  • Brief agencies, review creative, and help manage the approval process and campaign asset rollout.
  • Help organise and deliver brand activations and sampling programs.
  • Oversee marketing intern with management of always-on organic social content and agency.
  • Track key brand and campaign metrics, contributing to post-campaign reviews and performance dashboards.
  • Assist in analysing brand performance and identifying key takeaways and opportunities.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for EU and Rest-Of-World (ROW) business development team, collaborating to support growth, recovery and market expansion initiatives across regions.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of innovation and communications toolkits, enabling consistent execution across markets while facilitating alignment, insight sharing, and best practice exchange globally.
  • Support the team in managing marketing budgets, raising POs, and tracking spend.
  • Assist with volume forecasting, working with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate planning.
  • Work closely with shopper marketing, sales, and commercial teams to support customer presentations and in-store activations.
  • Help ensure plans align with retailer strategy and deliver consistent brand execution across channels.


Key Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within an FMCG environment.
  • Experience supporting or managing parts of the end-to-end innovation process, ideally from idea through to launch.
  • Experience of communications development, including testing, asset creation, and media planning and execution.
  • Exposure of how consumer insight fuels brand strategy, communication and innovation.
  • A clear understanding of the digital landscape, especially social media and/or search planning, buying or measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills - able to interpret data, draw out insights and shape a story or hypothesis.
  • Experience managing or working with external agencies and cross-functional teams, keeping projects moving and stakeholders aligned.
  • Comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders, and adapting to their style accordingly.
  • A working knowledge of the UK retail mass market, with an understanding of how brand comms link to in-store and e-commerce execution, would be beneficial.
  • Commercial awareness across areas such as promotional planning, pricing, shelf space, retail calendars, and sell-in, would be beneficial.
  • You're tuned into what's happening in the world and have an instinct for what resonates with people.
  • Has an interest in fragrance, beauty and youth culture- someone who understands our audience and what makes them tick.
