Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation
- Assist chefs with basic food prep such as washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients.
- Prepare simple dishes under supervision (e.g., salads, sides, sandwich prep).
- Ensure all prep areas are kept stocked and organised.
Cleaning & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including surfaces, equipment, and floors.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware using manual or industrial dishwashing methods.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP procedures).
- Dispose of waste and recycling correctly.
Kitchen Support
- Unpack, store, and rotate deliveries following FIFO stock rotation.
- Assist in keeping storage areas clean and well?organised.
- Support chefs during busy periods as required.
- Carry out any additional tasks delegated by the chef or manager.
