Janitor
Location: Cramlington
Shifts: 6am - 6pm
Pay Rate: £15.18

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning and maintaining laboratories, offices, washrooms, hallways, and common areas. The role includes waste disposal, restocking supplies, responding to cleaning requests, and supporting general facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean labs, offices, washrooms, hallways, and cafeteria areas
• Collect and dispose of waste and recycling
• Dust, clean windows, and polish fixtures
• Refill paper, soap, and garment dispensers
• Respond to cleaning and basic maintenance requests
• Support facility projects (floor care, vent cleaning, etc.)
• Maintain outdoor areas (walkways, entrances, smoking areas)
• Assist with snow removal and salting during winter
• Keep cleaning and maintenance supplies stocked
• Perform other duties as required

Experience & Skills

• Previous cleaning or maintenance experience preferred
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working shift schedules
• Basic English proficiency (spoken and written)
• Attention to detail and reliability
• Experience in pharmaceutical or food environments is an asset

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive and routine work
• Occasional lifting and moving of furniture or boxes
• Mostly indoor work environment
• Some exposure to dust, fumes, noise, or temperature changes
