Job Title: Document Controller
Location: Bridgwater, TA6 4FJ
Shift Times: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £104 per day (rising to £120 per day after 12 weeks of training)

About the Role:

We're looking for a proactive Document Controller to join our team supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. In this vital role, you'll ensure the effective management of project documentation and records, in line with License Condition 6: Documents, Records, Authorities & Certificates. You will use company systems and processes to maintain document integrity and support the wider information management needs of the HPC project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality assurance of contractor document submissions within the Electronic Document and Record Management System (EDRMS).
  • Ensure compliance with HPC document control processes and procedures.
  • Champion document management best practices across the team and wider HPC project.
  • Support the integration and improvement of EDRMS functionality and processes.
  • Interpret management reports using TcRA to monitor performance.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including internal users, the wider document control community, supply chain, and regulatory bodies (ONR, EA).
  • Represent the Document Control team in programme and contract-level meetings as required.
  • Remain adaptable to change and support increased volumes of document control activity.
  • Complete all mandatory and role-specific training.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong general education; formal qualifications not required with proven competence.
  • Experience working in a project-based environment with clear milestones and deadlines.
  • Understanding of quality assurance principles related to document control.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Clear communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders and promote document control practices.
