Work Management Specialist

Hours: Flexible hours - part time or full time available (office based to start off then move to hybrid)

Pay rate: £16.09 + depending on experience

Location: Gloucester, GL3 4AE

Job Purpose:

The responsibilities of the Work Management Specialist include tracking and overseeing delivery of the Nuclear Services work management tool kit.

Nuclear Services Business, governance & Commercial provides guidance and champions a variety of standard business processes, systems and tools, liaising with appropriate internal stakeholders within the Nuclear Services. The Work Management Specialists play a key role in helping to identify opportunities for improvement for the introduction of any changes to the process or working practices.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Championing the Nuclear Services Work Management processes and provides specialist input to specific work management areas
  • Providing insight to accountability oversight meetings with leadership to support them in understanding their performance against key performance indicators.
  • Completing due diligence on external budget management to enable quality forecasting data
  • Liaising with Finance on any areas for escalation and Supply Chain in the coordination of contract variation activities
  • Completing due diligence and quality check on deliverable updates and advocating appropriate risk and issue tracking
  • Working with the reporting analysts to support timely delivery and resolution of data quality issues
  • Supporting the yearly business planning activities
  • Ensuring business planning output loaded into deliverable tracking for reporting each year
  • Contributing to the continuous development of operational improvement tools, techniques and methods that build capability within our teams.
  • Contribute to and support delivery of lessons learned
  • Monitoring the business mailbox, triaging and routing queries appropriately.
  • Ad-hoc support, in line with business needs

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Strong knowledge and skills related to the internal systems and tools used in the delivery of Work Management (or equivalent).
  • Good experience of Microsoft Office software in general; in particular excel skills for reporting and analysis.
  • Commercially astute with good analytical skills, with the ability to interrogate and analyse information
  • Self-motivated and able to demonstrate financial activity to non-financial stakeholders
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to use both logic and intuition to derive business solutions
  • Understanding data and making recommendations.
  • Excellent at building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills
  • Previous experience of providing high quality proactive support to others.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate record keeping and / or awareness of governance frameworks.
  • You will also be able to prioritise and deliver within timescales, adjusting for competing priorities where required.
  • Desirable: Previous experience of SAP
