Vehicle Technician - 4-Week Temporary Contract
Location: South Shields
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £16 per hour
Contract Length: 4 weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:30pm, plus 2 Saturday mornings per month 9:00am-1:00pm)

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Technician to support our workshop on a 4-week temporary basis. This is a great short-term opportunity for a technician who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

• Ideally City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualified - applicants with proven experience also considered

• Full UK driving licence required

• MOT Tester qualification preferred (training can be provided)

• Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment

• Repair and replace components using genuine or OEM parts

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance to dealer specifications

• Carry out road tests to confirm repair effectiveness

• Communicate technical issues clearly and effectively

• Keep accurate records of all work completed

• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Take part in training courses (e.g. BOSCH, MOT) as required
