HGV Class 1 Driver - Waste & Recycling

£17.00 per hour
Monday to Friday | 7:30am - 5:00pm (42.5 hours per week)

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 (CE) Drivers to join a leading waste and recycling operation across several sites in the Greater Belfast area and surrounding regions.
With multiple vacancies available, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers seeking long-term, stable work within a growing and essential industry.

The Role

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of waste materials across a range of routes and customer sites, ensuring full compliance with all transport and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles across scheduled routes
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers safely
• Ensuring loads are secure and transported safely
• Carrying out collections and deliveries to commercial and industrial sites
• Supporting loading and unloading where required
• Completing all paperwork and digital records accurately
• Adhering to driver hours, tachograph and health & safety regulations
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times

Requirements

Essential

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence
• Valid CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph card
• Experience driving articulated vehicles
• Good knowledge of driver hours and transport legislation
• Strong focus on safety and compliance

Desirable

• Experience within waste, recycling or environmental services
• Experience operating walking floor trailers, tankers or similar
• ADR certification (not essential)
