Overview
This role is a key part in a relatively newly established regional Project Procurement team covering the UK & Ireland (UK&I) with a focus on supporting growth, effective operational delivery and procurement transformation. The new team forms part of the UK&I region's Operations, Innovation & Improvement team.
To help achieve our growth ambition and mitigate downstream delivery & compliance risks, Procurement and Supply Chain has been recognised as a key capability required to support our most important client programmes in delivery. Managing win work related sourcing activities, supplier selection and sub-contracting are key aspects of this role.
You will be supporting other senior procurement colleagues on major bids and helping to mobilise new contract awards where supply chains have been nominated and need to be formally engaged.
You will engage directly with bid teams from time to time.
The role will be actively involved in supporting Programmes/Project Managers and Practices in delivering work via the use of supplies.
You will embed social value and sustainability requirements and work closely with and signpost to the wider team who look after contingent labour as a category.
A high degree of technical ability is required specific to subcontracting arrangements with suppliers. NEC 4 is heavily used across the business so hands on experience of NEC 4 Subcontracting in the Professional Services and Works space in a contracting organisation is highly advantageous.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to play a key role across the UK&I region in supporting markets and practices in delivering projects. The individual will also be expected to contribute to a wider global Procurement Transformation agenda.
You will be joining a relatively new team where your ideas will be considered and supported and where you have the room to help shape our further direction for Procurement and Supply Chain. The role works across our Growth and Core markets within the UK&I business and reports to the UK+I Strategic Procurement Lead - Work Winning.

- If you have the necessary technical expertise and contracting organisation experience, have a drive for improvement, want to actively shape the direction of the function and make a real difference in an organisation where supply chain is recognised to be instrumental to deliver on our future strategy and successful growth, this role is for you.
