Location: Rugby (full-time onsite)

Duration: 3 months initially

We're seeking a proactive and hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join the team at a leading engineering and assembly facility in Rugby. You'll play a key role in driving a strong safety culture, supporting compliance, and helping the site meet its environmental and sustainability goals.

Working alongside the EHS Leader, you'll engage with all departments across the site - from engineering and manufacturing to office-based teams - providing expert advice, coaching, and practical support on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carrying out EHS inspections, risk assessments, and audits across the facility

  • Supporting day-to-day site safety operations and contractor management

  • Delivering safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions

  • Assisting with accident, near-miss, and root cause investigations

  • Helping maintain compliance with UK legislation, including DSEAR, COSHH, PUWER, and LOLER

  • Promoting safe working practices and continuous improvement in line with company EHS standards

  • Contributing to environmental initiatives such as energy efficiency and GHG reduction

What you'll bring:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)

  • Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial setting

  • A solid understanding of UK EHS requirements and practical application

  • Excellent communication and coaching skills, with a collaborative approach

  • Strong MS Office skills for reporting and documentation
