Background

Currently representing a successful private engineering consultancy in the UK, who are seeking skilled Structural Engineers to join their office in a Newcastle based office. This hire is driven by a healthy, robust project pipeline and offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across numerous industries, such as residential, retail and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead on projects of varying sizes.

  • Collaborate with and guide design team members to develop coordinated design solutions aligned with client objectives.

  • Conduct structural assessments and inspections of new and existing structures made from concrete, masonry, steel, and timber.

  • Perform analysis and design using various software tools, including advanced structural design software.

  • Ensure high-quality standards and consistency in technical outputs such as drawings and reports.

  • Produce comprehensive technical reports, including structural surveys.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering.

  • Chartered or near-chartered status (e.g., MICE or MIStructE).

  • Diverse experience with common construction types and building forms.

  • Familiarity with relevant design codes.

  • Strong report writing, communication, and numerical skills.

  • Essential experience in structural analysis and design, along with proficiency in relevant software.

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.

  • A full clean driving license is required.
