About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Facilities Director to oversee and optimise the systems, infrastructure, and services of a busy shipyard operation. This high-impact leadership position is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and adequacy of plant systems, facilities maintenance, and auxiliary services, including site cleaning, waste management, and temporary storage. You'll play a critical role in aligning operational objectives with business strategy while driving performance and reliability across all shipyard assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a strategic maintenance program for all shipyard facilities and equipment.
• Manage and monitor maintenance of key systems including cranes, electrical equipment, dry docks, and workshops.
• Oversee repairs, inspections, and scheduled servicing to reduce downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
• Analyse performance trends, prepare budgets, and drive cost optimisation initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal and external service teams to ensure seamless support for production needs.
• Maintain master data, monitor productivity metrics, and ensure compliance with inspections and government regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, ensuring performance objectives are met.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
• 9+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with a hands-on approach to complex operational challenges.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and teams.
• Experience in industrial or shipyard facilities management is highly desirable.
