Machine Operator

Location: Newry

Shifts Available: 40 hours per week, 5 work shifts out of 6 (Dayshift Sunday-Friday, Nightshift Saturday-Thursday)

Reports To: Production Manager/Supervisor

Salary: Dayshift- £12.50 per hour Nightshift- £13 *Both shifts available*

Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and ready to be part of a fast-paced food production team? We're looking for a Sandwich Machine Operator to help ensure our delicious products are made to the highest standards!
What You'll Be Doing:

Operate the sandwich machine safely and efficiently alongside another team member.

Ensure all sandwich fillings are properly placed and products meet quality standards.

Use the correct packaging for each product and customer specification.
*
Maintain a clean and tidy work area and machine at all times.
*
Communicate clearly with team leaders and supervisors about any issues or delays.
*
Complete necessary production documentation (PC1.5).
*
Assist in training new personnel as needed.
*
Report any mechanical problems directly to maintenance.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a production environment - essential.
*
Ability to read and write in English - essential.
*
Understanding of different sandwich types and correct packaging for each.
*
Ability to read and follow production order forms and date codes.
*
Strong attention to detail, especially during quality checks.
*
Comfortable working in a team and in a food production environment.
*
Knowledge of food safety standards and correct chemical use for cleaning
