Job Role: Laboratory Cleaner
Hours: 12 hours per week (Monday, Thursday and Friday)
Location: Preston (PR5)
Pay: £12.60 per hour

Manpower is pleased to be recruiting for one of our Clients for a Laboratory Cleaner based in Preston, on a temp to perm basis, to start ASAP.

Job Overview:
Clean and prepare laboratory equipment, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness to support the effective and efficient operation of the microbiology laboratory.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare specialised glassware and equipment, including emptying used glassware after decontamination and soaking in detergent to prepare for washing.
• Prepare laboratory cleaning chemicals.
• Use laboratory cleaning and sterilising equipment including glasswasher, autoclaves and ovens.
• Put away clean glassware and organise storage of clean equipment.
• Follow and maintain a laboratory maintenance programme with weekly, monthly and yearly input, and record all activities on database using Excel and SharePoint.
• General housekeeping duties including maintaining a high standard of cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and Science are desirable.
• Experience in a cleaning role.
