Job Title: Planned Maintenance Operative / Painter
Department/Region: Property Services / Kent
Reporting to: Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader
Location/Base: Kent

Hours of work: 40 hours p/w (Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm)

Salary: £25,400.00 - £27,237.00 per annum



Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Planned Maintenance Operative/Painter to join our Property Services team in Kent. Reporting to the Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of responsive and planned maintenance tasks across our properties, with a primary focus on painting, redecoration, and general property upkeep.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Painting & Decorating:

  • Perform a comprehensive range of painting and redecoration tasks in both occupied and empty properties.

  • Prepare and clean surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding, and steam cleaning.

  • Remove old wallpaper and loose paint.

  • Repair cracks and holes in walls and joinery by applying fillers and sealants.

  • Prepare and sand surfaces for the application of decorative products.

  • Property Clearance & Cleaning:

  • Ensure all work areas and accommodations are clean, fit for purpose, and free from debris upon task completion, adhering to company standards.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date cleaning records in accordance with company procedures.

  • General Maintenance:

  • Undertake other duties as deemed reasonable by the Head of Property Services.
